The army liberates the villages of Gobas and San in Idlib countryside

On February 3, the Syrian Arab Army units continued their operations on terrorist groups in the southeastern countryside of Idlib and advanced on the Saraqib axis after liberating the villages of Gobas and San.

The army units continued their operations to hit the terrorist organizations’ strongholds and defeat them from the villages and towns where they  were deployed on the axis of Saraqib in the southeastern Idlib countryside.

During the military operations, four Turkish soldiers were killed and 9 others were injured.

On February 2, the army units liberated the villages of Ankara, Kafr Nabikh, and Kafr Dadikh in the southeastern countryside of Idlib.

During its patrolling of  the city of Maarat al-Numan, Syrian Arab Army units discovered  fortified headquarters established by the terrorist organization al-Nusra Front under the city’s archaeological museum on an area of approximately 1,000 square meters equipped with tunnels and ventilation networks that were used by the organization’s leaders to direct their terrorist operations.

The headquarters extends on two levels. The first ground is dedicated to the terrorist organization’s leaders. It is  dug geometrically and supported with heavily fortified concrete consisting of several rooms. The second level consists of 9 rooms with a complex network of basements.

The headquarters was used by the terrorists to reside and a part of it was allocated as a  prison and a torture center where kidnapped civilians who opposed their presence in the region were held.

While combing the liberated Babila village, a network of trenches and tunnels was also seized as well as the headquarters and fortifications of the terrorists (Jabhat al-Nusra).

In the liberated town of Khan Al-Sabl, the army units seized a hospital and a field center for treating the wounded from terrorist organizations.

During the past few days, Syrian Arab Army units liberated the city of Maarat al-Numan and a number of villages and towns surrounding it in Idlib countryside.
