Coronavirus death toll in China rises to 170

The Chinese authorities announced today that the death toll due to the coronavirus has risen to 170, after 37 other people died from this virus in Hubei Province.

About 7711 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus have been registered in 31 districts at the level of the  province, Xinhua news agency quoted the authorities as saying.

Previous statistics indicated that coronavirus has claimed the lives of  132 people in China, in addition to the infection of about 6 thousand others.  There are at least 47 confirmed cases in 16 other countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, France, the United States and Australia, but there were no reports of deaths outside China.
