Foreign Minister receives UN envoy to Syria

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Minister of Expatriates and Foreign Affairs Walid al-Mo’allem received the United Nations’ Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen.

The talks dealt with the need to exert every possible effort to make progress in the political process in Syria in order to meet the interests of the Syrian people.

The two sides asserted that Syria’s sovereignty, independence and integrity must be respected and the discussion of the Syrian constitution must be done without foreign intervention.
