Commenting on the so-called “Deal of the Century”, the United Nations affirms its adherence to the resolutions of international legitimacy
On January 29, the United Nations confirmed its adherence to international legitimacy resolutions in response to US President Donald Trump’s announcement of the so-called ‘Deal of the Century’.
Reuters quoted UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as saying in a statement that the United Nations remains committed to helping solve the Middle East conflict on the basis of United Nations resolutions, international law and bilateral agreements.
For its part, France affirmed its adherence to observing international law in the framework of settling the conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians, in response to the announcement after the American president announced the so-called ‘deal of the century’.
“ France affirmed its conviction that a two-state solution in accordance with international law and recognized international standards is necessary for a just and lasting peace in the Middle East,” Agence France-Presse quoted the French Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson.
Trump, in a flagrant violation of international resolutions, announced yesterday the terms of the so-called “deal of the century” aimed at ending the Palestinian issue at the expense of the rights of the Palestinian people.
