General Command of the Army announces clearing the city of Maarat al-Numan and 28 towns and villages in the southern Idlib countryside from terrorism

The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces announced today that the army units operating in Idlib countryside have cleared during the past few days the city of Maarat al-Numan and a number of villages and towns in the southern countryside from terrorism.

In a statement, the General Command stated that units of the armed forces operating in southern Idlib countryside continued their military operations which aimed at ending the terrorist organizations ’crimes that persist in targeting safe areas, civilians and the army’s positions with rocket-propelled grenades and booby-traps. 

The statement of the General Command affirmed that the army continues to implement its constitutional, national and moral duties in pursuing the remnants of the armed terrorist organizations until clearing the entire Syrian soil of terrorism.
