Terrorists bomb sea oil pipeline network in the coastal city of Baniyas

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Terrorists in Syria have attacked the sea oil pipeline network in the Syrian city of Banyas with explosive devices planted by frogmen, the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources announced on Monday.

The attack came within the framework of the plans of the terrorist organizations and their supporters to target the Syrian oil sector.

According to the Ministry, maintenance teams immediately assessed the damage caused by the terrorist attack in order to repair it.  Alternative plans to ensure that the outlet continues work were put into effect.

On June, 23, 2019, the oil pipelines in Baniyas were exposed to an act of sabotage, causing an oil leakage in the downstream area and deactivating several pipelines.
