Jannati: The assassination of General Soleimani is the beginning of the end of the American presence in the region

On January 16, the Head of Iran’s Leadership Experts Council Ahmad Jannati said  that the US assassination of General Qassem Soleimani marked the beginning of the end of the American presence in the region.

“Through the enthusiastic rallies,  the Iranian people expressed their loyalty and support for the aspirations and principles of the Islamic revolution,” Islamic Republic News Agency ( IRNA)  quoted Jannati as saying during the council meeting.

 

“Iran was able to deliver a painful blow to the Americans.”

On January 15. the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, said that the people of the region should work to expel the American forces from them.
