Mass gathering in Lattakia condemning the assassination of General Soleimani
Lattakia, (ST) – The governorate square in Lattakia witnessed a mass gathering today denouncing the American criminal aggression near Baghdad Airport that led to the martyrdom of the commander of the Quds Brigade in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani, his companions and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization units.
The Director of the Endowments Trust of LattakiaSheikh Muhammad Aliyu confirmed in his speech during the gathering in which popular, official and union activities participated, that this mass is a token of loyalty to the blood of the martyrs who offered a great contribution in defeating the Zionist-American project in the region and defeating the terrorist organizations in Syria and Iraq.
Sheikh Ayman Zaitoun, head of the Great Messenger Complex in Latakia, said that “We came to bless the martyrs, Soleimani, al-Muhandis, and their sacrifices for the cause that they believed in,adding that the American crime of assassination has started an all consuming fire that would burn the American presence and defeat it from the region again. He affirmed the Syrians standing behind their army until the defeat of the terrorist project in Syria and the region.
Father George Hosh the head priest in the Greek Orthodox Diocese of Latakia , stressed that the resistance work has no geographical boundaries and that from the blood of martyrs many resistance fighters will sprout who will complete the path until achieving complete victory.
Najda Zoraiqa, a member of the Arab Writers Union, explained that the team, Soleimani and his companions formed an additional value during their struggle, and they were persons who fought on all fronts in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Palestine and their targeting was in order to end their approach that terrified the America n and the Israeli occupation entity and their tools in the region.
Citizen, Samir Ali, stressed that targeting these resistance groups is a crime unacceptable in accordance with all international laws.
Citizen Sumayya Sharif said that this crime that US President Donald Trump has brazenly embraced is a rude act that indicates the US administration’s lack of respect for state sovereignty, stressing that this criminal act will generate a comprehensive resistance spark that ends American arrogance.
The assassination of General Qassem Soleimaniand his companions was an attempt to revive the terrorist organizations that had been defeated, stressing the need to continue the war on these criminal gangs until they are completelyeliminated, the citizen Ayman Hamadeh stressed.
