Protests continue in several Lebanese areas

Beirut, (ST)- Protests continued today in several Lebanese areas in demand for an acceleration in the formation of the Lebanese government, and improving living conditions and fighting corruption.

The Lebanese National News Agency said that the protesters blocked the road of al-Jayeh which reaches to South Lebanon and the road of Halaba in Akkar.
Other demonstrators tried to attack the electricity company in protest at the bad electricity service. The confrontations between army members and the demonstrators resulted in the injury of some Lebanese soldiers.
The Lebanese army re-opened most of the closed roads.
All public and private institutions opened today amid intensified deployment of the Lebanese army units.
Since October 17th Lebanon has been witnessing demonstrations and sit-ins demanding for improving living conditions, fighting corruption and trying corrupt officials.
