Israeli weapons left by terrorists found in Syria’s southern region

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syrian authorities have found an amount of weapons, ammunition and explosives, including US and Israeli-made weapons, left by terrorists in Syria’s southern region. A quantity of narcotics was also found, according to SANA reporter.

 The Syrian Arab army counterterrorism unit, while securing the areas liberated by the Syrian army from terrorism, found in Syria’s southern region a huge amount of weapons, as well as heavy, medium and light ammunition, some of them are US and Israeli-made, SANA reporter said citing authorities.

The seized weaponry included automatic rifles, a number of 12,7mm and 23mm machineguns, sniper rifles, Doshka machineguns, tank shells, mortar shells and a huge amount of explosives, the source added.

The seized weapons also included thermal rockets, “Fagot” missiles, anti–tank missiles, communication devices and night-vision binoculars in addition to 100 kg of Hashish.

The source pointed out that the seized quantity of weapons and drugs is clear evidence confirming the huge support provided to terrorist organizations in Syria by countries supporting terrorism.
