Under the auspices of Mrs. Asma’ al-Assad, the first round of the qualification tests of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad 2019-2020 started this morning with the participation of 411 talented students from all Syrian governorates. The tests will be held in two days at Ebla Hotel in Damascus for the subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology in Damascus, while the tests of informatics will be held at the Informatics Faculty, Damascus University to select members of national teams who will represent Syria in the forthcoming international competitions.
Reference should be made to the fact that the teams of the Syrian scientific Olympiad have won 39 silver, bronze and appreciation certificates at international competitions in 2019.
