European al-Waffa Campaign Aid Displaced Families

DAMASCUS, (ST) – In coordination with Social Affairs Ministry and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent,the European al-Waffa Campaign delivered 100 tons of wheat flour and thousands of food baskets as a humanitarian aid to the Syrian displaced and the Palestinian refugees in Syria.

 The Aaffa convoy  arrived in Damascus coming from Lebanon through Jdaidet Yabous border crossing .

“the convoy contains relief assistances with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the Syria displaced and Palestinian refugees in Syria,”said ,the campaign’s coordinator, Amin Ado Rashed.

For his part, Mamdouh Badawi, an activist in the campaign said that the campaign is purely humanitarian and aims to prove to the world that there is safe passages to enter humanitarian aid to Damascus and its outskirts.

Addressing the campaign organizers, Minister of Social Affair, Kinda al-Shammat, appreciated their efforts in this humanitarian regard , stressing the deeply rooted ties between the Syrian and Palestinian peoples.
