The Junior International Chamber – Damascus concludes projects for 2019

The Junior International Chamber – Damascus announced today the conclusion of its projects and activities for the year 2019 in a ceremony that included honoring its distinguished members at work and the partners who supported it to achieve a positive impact on society.

Head of the Junior International Chamber in Damascus, lawyer Lama Issam Al-Jamal, said that the Chamber, which has been working since 2005 in the field of innovation and creativity of projects that contribute to the development of human beings, society and the economy, completed during 2019 thirty projects and benefited directly more than 5 thousand people in cooperation with 65 partners in community work.

As for next year’s plan, Alaa Al-Azem, the local Head of the Chamber for 2020, said that it will focus on helping young people to return to the labor market and rehabilitate them according to the needs of society, referring to the constitution of the youth parliament, where the focus will be on developing their skills to be effective citizens in their society and future contributors to the formulation of laws and policies of their country.

Among the founders of the Chamber in Syria, Omar Al-Khiyami, said the Chamber was able to complete its plans for the current year despite the current challenges and difficulties and implemented development and educational projects that aimed at empowering young people.

The Junior International Chamber is a global network for active young citizens between the ages of 18 and 40 and is present in more than hundred countries and aims to provide development opportunities that enable young people to create positive change.
