Beirut, ( ST) – Patriarch of Antioch and the Whole East for the Greek Orthodox John X Yazigi has expressed hope that peace and stability will be achieved in Syria, Lebanon and the whole region.
In the Christmas message today, the Patriarch said that we pray for realizing peace in Syria, the restoration of stability in Lebanon and for occupied Palestine.
He added that today’s prayers were also performed for the return of all the kidnapped people, including Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo, Bishop Paul Yazigi, and Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo, Bishop John Ibrahim, who were abducted by armed terrorist organizations seven years ago.
He went on to say that the peace of mind and soul is the first step for building countries, calling to achieve reconciliation to realize peace for the Homeland.
