Damascus, (ST) – The General Manager of the General Establishment for Engineering Industries and a member of the Board of Directors of the Syrian-Iranian Auto Manufacturing Company (Siamco), Engineer Asaad Warda confirmed that the company continues to operate and has not stopped manufacturing during 2019

Eng. Warda said in a statement to the delegate of SANA that (SIAMCO) continues to produce cars within the framework of cooperation between Iran and Syria  and in line with the absorptive capacity of the market.

Warda explained that the company developed a plan for the year 2020 that includes opening external markets in order to increase the company’s competitiveness and invest its advantages and benefit from the technical expertise of its workers.

In light of the government support provided to the industrialists in general and the national export industrial products in particular, coordination is currently taking place with the relevant authorities to facilitate the export of cars collected by Siamco to friendly countries, Warda added.

He pointed out that Siamco owns three production halls and will meet the market need with all types and brands required .

It is noteworthy that the company that started work in 2007 returned to production again early this year after a pause that lasted for several years due to the crisis in Syria by launching a number of new cars.
