Total Number of Licensed Industrial Facilities in Lattakia Reached 7637

The Syrian  government has given  top priority to supporting the national industry through  adopting a number of relevant measures and decisions to reactivate and enhance the industrial sector which has a key and vital role in supporting the national economy .

Lattakia’s  Industry Directorate is working hard on the ground  to implement the numerous decisions issued by the Ministry of Industry to support the various forms of national industry, such as facilitating licensing procedures and importing raw materials, which was positively reflected on the development of the existing factories, and increasing the number of new facilities to meet the needs of the local market.

 In a statement to SANA correspondent,  Lattakia’s Industry Director, Eng. Rehab Dada’a made it  clear that the total number of licensed industrial facilities in Lattakia reached  7637, indicating that these licensed facilities have created 20803 job opportunities.

Eng. Dada`a explained that the industrial and craft establishments included the fields of engineering, chemical, food and textile .

Engineer Dada’a pointed out that the number of the industrial facilities established in the industrial cities in Lattakia province amounted to 137 ones, including 113 in the industrial zone of Lattakia city and 24 in the industrial zone of Jableh and most of them specialize in the chemical, engineering and textile domains.
