Twenty children of martyrs visit Moscow on an entertainment trip

The Educational Action Department of the Investigative Office in Russia, with the support of the Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs and the Syrian Embassy in Moscow, organized a visit for a group of children of martyrs comprising 20 children to the Russian capital.

The Syrian children visited the residence center of the “cadet” regiment of the Investigation Office, a center where Russian children study in accordance to a military system and education. The workers of the office organized educational programs for the children of the martyrs to acquaint them with the history of Russia in addition to organizing educational and entertainment programs.

 

During the weeklong visit, the Syrian children made many trips to all parts of the Russian capital, during which they became acquainted with the halls of the Kremlin and the Russian architectural monuments. They also participated in a concert  by Investigation Office students to express their talents and technical skills.

In a special event, Head of the Investigation office, Alexander Bastrykin, during his meeting with the Syrian children, said that the Russian side fully supports the efforts to solve the crisis in Syria and restore security and stability to all parts of the country and will continue to provide various humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people.

Pastrykin noted that the program for inviting children from Syria to Russia would expand in the future more and more.

In turn, the Syrian ambassador in Moscow, Dr. Riyad Haddad, pointed out that the Syrian children were briefed through this visit on the Russian reality, customs and traditions, underlining the importance of these visits, which also include familiarizing the Russian side with the civilization and culture of Syrian society with its customs and traditions through these children.

The Investigation Office considered that assisting the children affected by terrorist acts in Syria is an integral part of its tasks, stressing that the work which aimed at rehabilitating and supporting children will double in the future to face the dire and devastating consequences of wars and crimes.
