First mass held in Irbin church after its liberation

Damascus Countryside (ST): The first mass was held today in a hall affiliated to the church of Saint Georgios for the Roman Orthodox in Irbin, Damascus Countryside after its liberation from terrorism paving the way for the start of renovation of the church following the devastation caused by terrorist acts.

The Patriarchal Aide of Antioch and the Whole East for the Roman Orthodox Bishop Luka al-Khouri headed the mass.

In a statement he made following the mass, Patriarchal Aide Bishop Yoanna Batsh expressed happiness for holding the first mass in this church following the liberation of Irbin city from terrorism. He  stressed that Syrian citizens were determined to return to their cities and reconstruct them, referring to the landslide victories realized by the Syrian Arab army against terrorist organizations all over the Syrian territories.
