Occupation forces Attack and arrest Palestinians in the occupied west Bank

Occupied al-Quds, (ST) – A Palestinian was injured and dozens were suffocated today as a result of the aggression by the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces stormed Ain Misbah neighborhood of the city and fired bullets and poison gas canisters at the Palestinians, which resulted in one of them being hit by a bullet in the foot and dozens of cases of suffocation.

Two Palestinians were injured yesterday, as a result of an attack by the occupation forces in the city of Al-Bireh in the West Bank.

The Israeli occupation forces also arrested seven Palestinians in separate areas of the West Bank.

Wafa news agency reported that the occupation forces stormed towns and villages in Hebron, Ramallah, al-Bireh and occupied al-Quds(Jerusalem), and raided and searched Palestinian homes and arrested seven of them.

Occupation forces continue their aggressive practices against the Palestinians by restricting and attacking them in their cities and villages and launching daily detention campaigns with the aim of displacing them, seizing their lands and judaizing them.

Palestinian steadfastness in facing the crimes of the occupation in al-Issawiya town and Shuafat camp in al-Quds ..

 On the other hand, the attacks of the Israeli occupation on the Palestinians in the city of Al-Issawiya and the camp of Shuafat in occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) escalated starting from daily incursions of arrests , house demolitions and the seizure of lands to expand settlements in conjunction with the continuous attacks by settlers on the Palestinians and their properties.

Palestinian human rights organizations have documented the occupation’s arrest of more than 500 Palestinians since last June in al-Issawiya, in addition to daily raids on their homes, attacks on children and women, abuse, seizure of land, and carrying out demolitions. The situation is not different in the Shuafat camp, which is exposed to attacks by the occupation forces and its settlers on a daily basis, the most recent of which was the damage to dozens of Palestinian vehicles.

Palestinian government spokesman Ibrahim Melhem indicated in a statement to  SANA correspondent that the escalation of the occupation attacks on Al-Issawiya and Shuafat camp comes within his plan to fight the Palestinian presence in al-Quds(Jerusalem), which recently culminated in the closure of Palestinian institutions and the implementation of demolitions and a siege imposed on Al-Isawiya and the Shuafat camp. It will not change the fact that the occupation is going to come to an end that the Palestinian people are adhering their land and upholding their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state with al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital.

Melhem clarified that the Palestinian government continues its contacts with various international parties to inform them of the violations of the occupation and its practices against the Palestinians, through sending messages regarding this to the United Nations and international organizations urging them to intervene to curb the attacks of the occupation.

The director of the Jerusalem International Center, Hassan Khater, made it clear that the town of Issawiya, which is located in the northeastern part of the city of Jerusalem, has been subjected, for five months, to an ongoing Israeli aggression, to implement a settlement plan that aims to separate the Issawiyah first from the city of Jerusalem and secondly, the Shuafat camp exit by the Apartheid Wall outside of Jerusalem, and this is a process of ethnic cleansing. However, the people of Shuafat and Al-Issawiya camp face occupation plans and are fighting a legendary steadfast battle that will fail what the occupation is planning.

Khater pointed out that the Issawiya town is under a severe siege from the occupation, which closed all its entrances and surrounded al-Quds (Jerusalem) with 53 settlements. The Issawiya town is one of the most important areas targeted by the occupation to implement the plans of Judaization and settlement.

The specialist in settlement affairs, Jamal Juma, pointed out that the people of Al-Issawiya town are subjected to all kinds of repression and abuse, stressing that the steadfastness of the Palestinians in Al-Issawiya constituted a unique model and would frustrate all plans for Judaization and Israeli settlement.

Mansour demands taking the occupation authorities to account

 for their crimes against the Palestinians

 In another development in New York, Palestine’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, called on the international community to provide international protection to the Palestinian people and hold the Israeli occupation authorities accountable for their crimes.

Wafa news agency quoted Mansour as saying today that “the continuous violations of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, demolishing their homes, seizing their lands and properties, and establishing more settlement units, are a flagrant violation of the UN Security Council resolutions.”

Mansour stressed the need for international community to take the necessary legal measures to implement international resolutions, especially Resolution 2334, which obliges the Israeli occupation to stop settlement operations and end all of its Judaization schemes in the occupied Palestinian territories and its provocative practices, especially in the holy places.
