The Syrian delegation to Astana talks holds two meetings with the Iranian delegation and the United Nations delegation

On December 11, the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic headed by Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari held a meeting with the Iranian delegation headed by the Senior Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Special Political Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji in Nur Sultan within the framework of the fourteenth round of Astana talks on Syria.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the items listed on the Astana talks’ items and the final statement will be issued today on the results of the fourteenth round of Astana talks on Syria.

Dr. Jaafari, also met with the United Nations delegation headed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations’ Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pederson.

The two delegations discussed the points listed on the agenda of the current round of Astana talks.

The fourteenth round of Astana talks on Syria started on December 10 in the Kazakh capital, with the participation of the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic and other delegations.
