Syria participates in the 33rd International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent

On December 10, the 33rd International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent started in Geneva with the participation of the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic.

The Syrian delegation headed by Ambassador Hossam el Din A’la, the Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations and International Organizations in Geneva and the delegation of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) headed by Eng. Khaled Habbouti, Head of SARC.

 

The conference, which marks the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions, discusses the implementation of international humanitarian law, the challenges facing its work, meeting the needs of civilians, and protecting them in armed conflict and natural disasters, and the emerging challenges facing the world.
