Protests continued today in several Lebanese areas demanding an acceleration for the formation of a new government and putting corrupt officials on trial.

In Tripoli city in north Lebanon, demonstrators set fire on the highway near the sea corniche protesting against the collapse of a building and the death of two of its dwellers.

The Lebanese National News Agency said that several areas were closed by the demonstrators in the Western Bekaa, Akkar and Bar Elias.

Earlier, the city of Beirut witnessed several demonstrations and sit-ins, calling for improving the living conditions and forming an effective government that can respond to people’s demands.
