A general strike prevails in Hebron to condemn the settlement attack by the occupation authorities

The West Bank city of Hebron witnessed today a general strike to condemn the settlement attack carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities on the city and its old town.

Wafa news agency quoted the Fatah movement as calling for a comprehensive strike in Hebron today as an affirmation of the continued struggle to confront and halt all judization measures and practices of the occupation in Hebron and in all of the occupied Palestinian territories and as fulfillment of the martyrs and the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination over their land.

Fatah affirmed that targeting Hebron, abusing the Ibrahimi Mosque, seizing Palestinian lands in the city and launching incursions in all areas indicate that there is an intention to escalate settlement in Hebron and to Judaize the Old City within the framework of a plan implemented by the occupation authorities.

The Israeli occupation continues its Judaic war in the city of Hebron by establishing thousands of settlements, building settlement roads, and seizing Palestinian lands and homes in the Old City. It also permanently closes the Ibrahimi Mosque and permits settlers to storm it almost daily, in violation of international laws that affirm the sanctity of holy sites and religious places.
