Damascus (ST): Damascus first marathon to support people with special needs was launched this morning at al-Faiha’a Sports city in Damascus.
About 3500 contestants from schools, universities and players of the Special Olympiad national team took part in the marathon, which is jointly organized by the Foundation of the Syrian Special Olympiad in cooperation with Damascus Governorate and the Ministry of Education.
The event is organized in commemoration of the World Day of People with Special Needs which falls on December 3rd.
