Protests and banditry continue in a number of Lebanese areas

Beirut, (ST) – The sit-ins and protests continued in a number of Lebanese areas today as demonstrators blocked a number of roads in some areas.

The traffic control room said the protesters had blocked some roads in Tripoli, Zahle, Bekaa and other areas.

Earlier in the morning, the Lebanese army reopened a number of roads in areas in the south, Mount Lebanon and Akkar.

Since October 17, Lebanon has witnessed protests and sit-ins demanding better living conditions, fighting corruption and holding the corrupt to account.
