Russian experts condemn the presence of foreign occupation forces in Syria

Moscow, (ST) – A number of Russian experts condemned in a seminar held in Moscow today the presence of US and Turkish occupation forces on Syrian soil, stressing that this occupation creates great problems for the Syrian people .They also stressed the need to continue exposing the crimes committed by these forces, especially in Rukban camp.

In an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow, Maxim Grigoriev, a member of the Russian Chamber of Social Affairs and the director of the Center for Democracy Studies, said: “The US occupation of parts of Syrian territories creates great difficulties for the Syrian people.

Grigoriev added that “A survey of the situation in Rukban camp showed that the situation is very difficult as the Americans with the help of their terrorist agents prevent the Syrian citizens from leaving the camp and use them as human shields.”

Regarding the “White Helmets” terrorist organization, Grigoriev said that “Several investigations and surveys of the crimes of this terrorist group have been carried out and we have shown the invalidity of the plays they have directed and claimed that the Syrian government had used chemicals in Douma and elsewhere.

For his part, member of the Russian Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights Alexander Brod, “Washington continues to use double standards to prolong the crisis and prevent the stability of the situation in Syria.”

“The situation in Rukban camp is getting worse with the onset of winter and the spread of infectious diseases, where children are deprived of education and health care, which causes their death,” Alexander Brod added.

The head of the Committee for the Development of People’s Diplomacy and Humanitarian Cooperation in the Russian Chamber of Social Affairs, Yelena Sotormina said that the violation of human rights and the Charter of the United Nations in the US-occupied places in Syria herald a humanitarian catastrophe, especially in the Rukbancamp.

“Russia’s social chamber will go to the United Nations to investigate these blatant crimes, not only in the Rukban camp, and even in all the areas where there are US occupation forces as well as the Syrian territories occupied by Turkey ” Sotormina said.

The Russian military expert Vladimir Yevsiyev said that the Israeli, American and Turkish occupation forces commit in the parts that occupied are war crimes which must be condemned by the international community.

Regarding the constitutional discussion committee, Yevsiyev said that what hinders the committee’s work is limited to the actions of the delegation of the Turkish regime, referring to its lack of interest in dialogue and its refusal to discuss the initial proposals made by the national delegation and reflected in the basic national pillars of the Syrian people
