Cuban Trade Minister confirms his country’s support to Syria in all fields

Havana, ST- Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmerka said that his country continues to support Syria in all fields.

During his meeting with the Syrian Ambassador to Cuba, Dr. Idris Mia at the headquarters of the Ministry of Commerce in Havana, Malmerica pointed out the importance of taking advantage of the possibilities available to strengthen the relations of the two countries in the economic field.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the current reality of bilateral relations between Syria and Cuba and ways of developing and enhancing them, especially economic, in the interest of the two friendly countries.

For his part, Ambassador Mia pointed out that Syria’s participation in Havana International Fair in its thirty-seventh session was an important opportunity to showcase some of the Syrian products needed by the Cuban market. He also stressed Syria’s readiness to do everything that would elevate the two countries’ economic relations to the level of their distinctive political relations.
