PROVINCES,(ST)_Intense fighting flared up on Sunday between units of armed forces and the foreign-backed terrorist groups outside Damascus, Aleppo and Idleb provinces amid reports of morning-shells fell on Mazzeh suburb in the capital.
The armed forces clashed with terrorist groups in Jobar and Doma suburbs outside Damascus and pounded the terrorists’ hideouts in Harsta, Barzeh al-Balad , al-Qabon, and Zamalka suburbs.
Dozens of terrorists have been reportedly killed in the said suburbs.
An official source told SANA that a unit of armed forces has destroyed tens of explosive devices and weapons which the terrorists stored inside factory of cork in Jobar suburb.
The area was shrouded in dense smoke as fire was broken out.
The Syrian alIkhbaria al-Soreya T.V. Channel aired today a report on the current situation in al-Yarmouk camp in which fierce clashes are breaking out between popular committees and armed terrorist groups.
The report stressed that the armed terrorist groups had stolen hospitals and shops inside the camp.
North and west provinces
Meanwhile, units of armed forces eliminated many terrorists near Meneg military airport in Aleppo countryside and in Sheikh Maqsod area in Aleppo city.
In Idleb countryside, it was reported that al-Nusra Front-affiliated terrorist group was targeted south Sermin city and their weapons, including mortars, were destroyed.
A military source in the province said the terrorist group was killing citizen and stealing their properties.
It added that a massive damage was caused by detonation of an explosive device planted by terrorists on Sermin-Idleb road.
In Hama city, the armed forces confiscated various types of weapons and ammunitions of terrorists affiliate to al-Nusra Front in al-Fayha’a alley.
In a separate incident, the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that 4 mortars landed today morning on Mazzeh 86 and Mazzeh Vellat areas in the capital leaving serious damages at the scenes.
It quoted a well-informed source as saying that the units of armed forces targeted armed groups in M’addameyeh and Darayya, to the south-west of the capital.
