Larijani: Washington’s maximum pressure policy against Tehran is wrong

TEHRAN, (ST)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has stressed his country’s “political will to resolve the problems between Tehran and Washington, noting that the U.S. should abandon its wrong policy towards Iran in order to ease tension.”

“There is always the political will to solve the complicated issues and there are some people who are engaged in talks,” Larijani said at a press conference on Sunday, pointing out that the US’ maximum pressure policy against Iran is a wrong method that needs to be corrected.

He made it clear that the United States has practiced great pressure on Iran to force it to give its nuclear program, which Iran used for peaceful purposes.
