600 industrial facilities re-operating in Sheik Najjar, Aleppo

Investment in the Industrial Zone of Sheik Najjar in Aleppo has witnessed a steady growth in light of ensuring the necessary requirements of industry including the infrastructure services and the assistance offered to reconstruct the facilities and factories destroyed as a result of terrorist acts, building new plots and providing them with lines of production.

Director of Sheikh Najjar Industrial Zone engineer  Hazem Ajjan said that the number of the facilities which were re-operated amounted to 600 including 300 textile factories, 150 for engineering industries and the rest are chemical and food factories.

He added that about 200 facilities will start working in the near future in various industries to ensure various products for the local market and compensate for the shortage in some products which resulted from the unilateral coercive sanctions imposed on Syria.

Engineer Ajjan went on to say that after ending most of the services projects, there is a plan to construct a Fairs City to display the products of Aleppo factories and companies, noting that in cooperation with the Artisans’ Union, work is also underway for the construction of an Artisan Zone including  500 plots.

He called on Syrian industrialists to return to their factories, rebuild them and contribute to boosting national economy.
