Syria, Iran sign executive program of MoU on implementing joint housing projects

TEHRAN, (ST)- Syria’s Minister of Public Works and Housing Suheil Mohammad Abdullatif and Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami on Tuesday signed the executive program of the memorandum of Understanding that was signed between the two ministries during the 14th session of the Syrian-Iranian higher committee held early this year in Damascus.

The executive program aims at providing facilitations necessary for establishing Syrian-Iranian companies for reconstructing housing units and carrying out housing and public service projects in Syria. It also aims at holding workshops to introduce the two countries’ expertise in related domains.

Earlier in the day, the Syrian minister held talks with head of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture on cooperation in the field of public works and housing as well as in carrying out joint investment projects. He stressed that investment opportunities in housing and real estate development are abundant in Syria.
