Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif affirmed that the allegations of the US officials regarding supporting the Iranian people are a big lie.
Commenting on the US officials’ statements on the riot acts witnessed by some Iranian cities, Zarif said that it is impossible for the American regime, which practices economic terrorism against the Iranian people through preventing the import of food and medicine to Iranians, to allegedly claim that it stands in support of the Iranian people.
Zarif called on his American counterpart to shoulder responsibility first towards the terrorist acts and the crimes against humanity Washington is perpetrating against Iranian people.

On another hand, rioters have committed atrocities in the capital Tehran over the past two days, causing the damage of public and private properties, Tehran’s police chief Hossein Rahimi said on Monday.
Rahimi said in a statement today that a lot of troublemakers have been arrested and we will arrest anyone who participated in this chaos.
Large popular crowds in Tabriz came out to express their support to the Iranian government and their refusal to sabotage public property that accompanied the recent protests.
In the same context, the spokesman of the Iranian judiciary Gholam Hossein Ismaily confirmed the return of calm to the Iranian cities thanks to the efforts of the police forces and the awareness of the Iranian people, calling on citizens to report troublemakers and rioters to the security and judicial services.
Iranian government spokesman Ali Rubaie said yesterday that about 80 percent of the problems that led to the demonstrations have been resolved, while the other problems will be resolved within the next two days, pointing out that one of the goals of the plan of adjusting the price of gasoline is to implement social justice or at least move in this direction.
