Researchers talk in a book about the achievements of the Syrian Researcher Mohammed Kurd Ali

Damascus, (ST) – Researcher Mohammed Kurd Ali is one of the most prominent linguists to the Arabic language where he spent his life in research and documentation of this language. He       was the first Ministerof Education in Syria and chairman of the Arabic Language complex in Damascus since its foundation in 1919 until his death in 1953.

The book entitled “Muhammad Kurd Ali, first chairman of the Arabic Language complex, and founder of Al-Sham Plans”, prepared and documented by Dr. Ismail Marwa and Nazih Al-Khouri, researches the history of Kurd Ali and his literary and intellectual achievement.

Dr. Abdel-Nasser Assaf speaks about the Biography of Kurd Ali in the first chapter of the book.

The third chapter of this book by Dr. Marwa is on the relationship of Kurd Ali and Damascus and his love for it. This relationship is documented under under the title “Kurd Ali, Sham and Gotha.”
The book concluded with a selection of works of the Kurds in addition to poems of contemporary poets of this great researcher, including Ibrahim al-Yazji, Ahmed Shawki and Mahmoud Shukri al-Alusi.
