Army foils terrorist car bomb attack against military points at Khan Sheikhoun Entrance

IDLEB, (ST)- Syrian Arab army units have foiled a terrorist car bomb attack against military points at the entrance of Khan Sheikhoun town in the southern countryside of Idleb.

The car was driven by a suicide bomber from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization, according to SANA reporter in Hama.

The car came from Sahyoun village and tried to penetrate the Syrian army defense lines along the Damascus-Aleppo international highway in order to reach the military points set at the northern entrance of the liberated city of Khan Sheikhoun, but the army units deployed there blew the car up before it reaches its target, the reporter said.

Combing the explosion site and searching the car that had exploded, the army personnel found documents proving that the suicide bomber was affiliated to Jabhat al-Nustra terror organization. They also found two rifles.

Last August, the Syrian Arab army reestablished control over the strategic city of Khan Sheikhoun in the southern countryside of Idleb and on the towns of al-Latamneh, Kafar Zeita, Latmin, Morek , Ma’rakba and al-Lahaya in the northern countryside of Hama after eliminating the terrorist groups there.
