Major General Safavi: Trump’s statements about the looting of Syrian oil proves his insolence

On November 4, the Chief Adviser to the Commander of the Islamic Revolution in Iran Major General Yahya Safavi, denounced US President Donald Trump’s statements on his intention to loot oil fields in Syria.

“Trump is reckless, shameless and rude after he explicitly revealed his intention to loot Syrian oil,” Safavi said in a speech at the Special Advisory Council of the Armed Forces General Command.

Safavi pointed to the history of US anti-Iranian actions in the past and till today.

“America is not only against Iran, but it works for complete domination and plunders the region’s wealth and oil,” Safavi said.

By the end of October, the Russian Defense Ministry published a map of the oil fields in Syria and satellite pictures showing the convoys of tankers that transport oil outside Syria under the guard of US military troops and gunmen of private US military companies.
