All Syrians are invited to participate in national dialogue, says al-Halqi

DAMASCUS, (ST)_”over the past two years Syria has been facing a war (with policy ,military, economic, media and cultural dimensions) aims to fragment its national unity and social fabric, and to sideline its pivotal role in supporting  Arab resistance against Israel, west and US vicious schemes in the region, “said premier Dr.Waelal-Halqi.

Al-Halqi’s remark came during a meeting with the international delegation for peace currently visiting Syria on Thursday, headed by Mairead Maguire.

 Dr. al-Halqi briefed the delegation on the conspiracy targeting Syria, indicating that it is aimed to destroy the capabilities of the Syrian Arab army and national economy to ruin the Syrian state and distance Syria from the confrontation with the Israeli enemy.

“some Arab, regional and western countries plus the Zionist entity are relentlessly feeding the armed terrorist groups with everything they want with the aim of sabotaging Syria’s infrastructure including agricultural, industrial, health, services and developmental sectors, “underscored al-Halqi.

“Despite unjust sanctions and siege imposed on Syria that definitely target the Syrian people’s living standard, the government is exerting strenuous efforts to consolidate the national economy and to ensure the citizens’ basic needs including food stuff ,oil derivate, electricity …etc. Furthermore, the government renders services free of charge for education and health sectors along with rebuilding the infrastructure which destroyed nationwide by the armed terrorist groups, “affirmed al-Halqi. 

“the government will continue holding  meeting with the political parties and forces and the economic and social stakeholders  to achieve an-all out vision as regards starting the comprehensive national dialogue where all Syrians –inside and outside Syria-are invited to take part in only to materialize the preparatory stage’s items of the political program proposed by President Bashar Al-Assad,” added al-Halqi.

Al-Halqi highlighted that the Syrian government is open to all initiatives aims at finding a political solution to the crisis that guarantees Syria’s sovereignty, independence and unity and rejects foreign interference.

the Syrian Arab army will remain the solid shield and the strong bulwark and in full preparedness to repel any Israeli aggression, and will continue to hammer terrorists..

Maguire ,for her part, voiced appreciation for the Syrian government’s call for national dialogue, adding that Syria has always called for peace in the region and the world as well.

The international delegation for peace, headed by the Nobel peace prize-laureate Mairead Maguire, consists of  16 activists and journalists from Australia, the US, Canada, Brazil and Lebanon, and members of the Syrian Popular Committee for National Reconciliation.
