A warehouse of American-made weapons was seized in Qalamoun, Damascus countryside

As part of the efforts of the Syrian Arab Army and the authorities concerned to secure areas where terrorists were deployed, the specialized authorities seized a warehouse of American-made weapons and ammunition, from the remnants of terrorist organizations in Qalamoun in Damascus countryside.

A field officer said that after receiving information and cooperating with people in the area of al-Qalamoun, the location of the warehouse was accurately located. 

After digging for a distance of 2 to 3 meters, the warehouse which contained mortar shells and machine guns in addition to weapons and ammunition, some of which are made by the US, was found.

In cooperation with the army units stationed in the areas liberated of terrorism, the parties concerned continue combing villages and towns to remove the terrorists’ remnants of weapons, ammunition and booby traps and to secure them fully to restore normal life.
