Babis calls on European states to take joint measures against Turkish aggression on Syrian territory

Prague, ST- Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis said during the European summit which was held today that he will suggest taking measures against the Turkish regime if it doesn’t stop its aggression on the Syrian territories in response to the demand of the Czech Chamber of Deputies in this regard.

Babis added that it is necessary for the European states to adopt joint measures against the Turkish regime’s offensive on Syria.

Head of the Czech Parliamentary Group for Friendship with Syria Stanislav Grospic, said in a statement to SANA that the Turkish aggression comes at a time when the Syrian Arab Army is achieving victory over terrorism in an attempt to prolong the crisis and to delay the defeat of terrorist organizations and their supporters.

In turn, the Czech Parliament member Radovan Vech strongly condemned the Turkish aggression, stressing that the Syrian government’s demand for the departure of all foreign forces on its territory is legitimate. “If there are problems on borders, Turkey should solve them just with the Syrian government,” he added.

For his part, member of the European Parliament for Slovakia Vladimir Belchik that the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory is a threat to the stability in the whole region, stressing the need for preserving the unity and sovereignty of these territories.
