Twenty dance performances of Circassian heritage on Opera theatre

(ST)- the Circassian Heritage was present on the Opera Theater in Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts through a musical concert offered by the Charity Society of Arts and Folklore, Qudsaya Branch.

The band performed various dance shows depicting many rural customs belonging to that beautiful society (Circassian) thus emphasize the Syrian diversity.

The dance group also presented beautiful shows in the foilloric dress for the rural Circassian women.

These dances were usually performed in weddings and popular carnivals including dances of the mother of the groom, daughter-in-law and mother of the bride that familiarize the audience with the Circassian traditions in marriage.

Naseem Khawaz, the dance team’s coach, explained to SANA that the event will be held at the end of the summer season, indicating that it included 20 dancing shows interspersed with four musical singing breaks.

Jatashura , a dancer in the band,  talked about the difficulties that they had faced in establishing the band  expressing his happiness to join this band and participate in its activities because it expresses their distinguished  heritage and show it to the world.
