Russian Security Services unveil an organization which finances “Daesh” in Syria

Moscow, (ST)- The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced today the discovery of an organization of more than 100 supporters of the terrorist organization Daesh who transfer  money to Syria.

Sputnik quoted a statement issued by the Center for Public Relations of the Russian Federal Security Service today: “That a group of Russian citizens in the republics of Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachayevo-Cherkesskaya, Ingushetia, Tatarstan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, have organized, through the internet, means to finance the international terrorist organizations “the Caucasus Emirate” and “Daesh”, which are banned on Russian territory. 

“The members of this organization have collected more than 6 million Russian rubles, more than 93 thousand  dollars under the guise of charity and transferred  this amount abroad to carry out terrorist acts in Syria.”,  The statement added.

Russian security services are waging campaigns against local extremist groups related to ISIS and other terrorist organizations that are working to turn a number of regions in Russia into hotbeds of instability. They also try to recruit Russian citizens and send them out of the country.
