Former Undersecretary of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Onur Auyman, stressed that coordination and cooperation with the Syrian government is the way to solve the problems facing Turkey.
At a political symposium in Istanbul, Auyman called for an “immediate dialogue with Damascus to prevent the involvement of Turkey in any new problems or dilemmas which serve the interests of the United States and Israel in the region.”
The next step should be regional coordination and cooperation among Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran so that the four countries can address their common problems and prevent any foreign interference in their affairs and the affairs of the region, Auyman said.
