The Syrian-Chinese relations have been distinguished by being based on mutual respect and on the joint stances in support just causes and against non interference in other countries’ internal affairs.
These relations have grown notably in the political, economic and cultural fields since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries 63 years ago.

China, on several occasions, affirmed that it is committed to peaceful development and it has no hegemonic schemes. Today, it is the second largest contributor to the UN budget and the number 1 contributor to peacekeeping activities.
Figures indicate an increase in China’s Gross Domestic Production. With a 1105-fold increase in 2018 compared to 1949, China has become the second largest economy in the world.
