The Ministry of Oil announces putting Deir Atiyah 2 well into service

The Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources announced the placement of (Deir Atiyah 2) well in production with a depth of 3620 meters long through the efforts of the staff of the Syrian Oil Company.

According to a statement by the Ministry, the staff is conducting the final tests on the well, which is expected to produce between 450 and 600 thousand cubic meters of gas per day and about 150 barrels of condensate.

Deir Atiyah 2 well is the second one to be installed in the fields of north Damascus.

The well of (Deir Atiyah 1) was put back into service last November with a depth of 3741 meters long and a production capacity of about 150 thousand cubic meters of gas per day after it was closed during the years of the terrorist war on Syria.
