Rouhani: the United States is the main supporter of terrorism in the region

On September 25, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani stressed that the United States is the main supporter of terrorism in the region.

“Wherever the United States goes, we note the spread of terrorism. The US intervention in Syria without the approval of the Syrian state gives a clear example of this terrorism in the region,” Rouhani said in an interview with Fox News.

Rouhani criticized US President Donald Trump’s policies, saying Trump had lost his rationality in his criticism of Iran.

Rouhani stressed the necessity of the European countries to implement their obligations under the nuclear agreement as members in it.

During his meeting with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the sidelines of the 74th UN General Assembly, Rouhani expressed his deep regret over the recent statement by the three European countries, France, Britain and Germany, which are also members of the nuclear agreement.

About the attacks on the Saudi’s oil installations, Rouhani said the issuing of such a baseless statement in these complex and sensitive circumstances is unconstructive.

The Iranian president criticized London’s failure to implement its commitments to benefit Iran from the economic benefits of the nuclear agreement.

Rouhani pointed to the project of the Hormuz Peace Initiative, which is scheduled to be presented during his speech at the UN General Assembly meeting.

He stressed that the cooperation of the countries of the region is the only way to establish sustainable security and stability in the region.

For his part, the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stressed during the meeting that London is seeking to improve relations with Tehran.

Johnson pointed out that his country has and will continue to support the nuclear agreement and has made great efforts to convince America not to abandon of the agreement.
