Syrian star Qusai Khouli is currently preparing for a joint work with the famous Egyptian star Mohammad Ramadan. Khouli expressed pleasure over this work, saying that he was also preparing for another series that will bring him together with the Lebanese actress Nadin. The last appearance of Khouli was in a series titled Five and a Half “by Lebanese director Philip Amar.

Syrian director Ayman Zaidan has recently concluded work on his second feature film “Dark Clouds” produced by the General Cinema Organization. The film tackles the adverse social and psychological consequences of the war on Syrian people through a story of a man who tries to return to his house which was destroyed during the war. When he arrived, he was astonished that his house was occupied by new dwellers, each has his own story to tell about suffering from the war.

Zaidan said that he co-wrote the scenario of the film with Yasmin Abu Fakhr and it deals with the story of a man who suffers from a chronic disease and decides to return to his devastated village. When he returns he becomes witness to the stories of many people who were displaced from their houses because of the unfair terrorist war. Starring in the film are Wa’el Ramadan, Mohammad Hdafi and many others.

Reference should be made to the fact that Zaidan’s first feature film “Amina” has won an appreciation certificate during the recent session of Fajr Film Festival in Iran and the best direction award at Miknas Film Festival recently concluded in Morocco.

Syrian actor Mu’tasem al-Nahar has won the prize of the best actor along with the Lebanese actress Nadin in the Arab Satellite Channels Festival recently concluded in Cairo with the participation of scores of Arab drama and movie stars.
