Lannier: Turkish military presence on Syrian territory is an occupation and aggression

(ST)- The former Czech Ambassador to Turkey Tomasz Lanier stressed that the Turkish military presence on Syrian territory represents an occupation and aggression against an independent sovereign state.

“In spite of the confirmation  of the guarantors of the Astana process at every meeting on  Syrian territorial integrity, Turkey does not abide by any decisions as Russia and Iran do.”, Lanier said in an article published on the Czech website Actualny. “The Syrian government has its licit right to take stances against Turkey’s regime attacks on its territories.”, he added.

Lannier pointed out that Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime is facing increasing difficulties inside Turkey stressing that Erdogan’s dominating schemes became clear to the Turkish people.
