ST- A fire broke out in Zabadani in Damascus western countryside and hundreds of fruitful trees were eaten.
A source in Damascus countryside Police Command told SANA that a fire broke out in Al-Tekiyeh farms in the road leading to the city of Zabadani and spread over large areas of fruit bearing trees. About 700 pine trees and 200 hawthorn trees were eaten by the fire. The source pointed out that there were no civilian casualties and the investigations about the fires causes are still continuing.
In July, a large fire broke out in the Zabadani plains and mountains around it, and it caused great damages over an area of 3,000 dunums of agricultural crops and fruitful trees.
