Czech PM Calls for Collective International Action to Help Syrian Refugees Return Home

PRAGUE, (ST)- Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis has called for a collective international action to end the crisis in Syria and facilitate the return of the Syrian refugees who left their country because of terrorism.

“The only solution to the refugee crisis is their return to their homeland,” Babis said in a statement to “Parliamentary Papers” website, calling for a more effective UN role in this regard.

The Czech official noted the key Russian role in resolving the region’s crises, stressing that the current crisis in the Middle East can’t be solved without Russia.

Babis had affirmed in earlier remarks that it is in Europe’s interest to solve the crisis and attain stability in Syria in order to help the Syrian refugees leave Europe and return home.
