Minister of Tourism Mohammad Rami Radwan Martini has met in Moscow with Chairman of the Palestinian Orthodox Imperial Society Sergei Stepashin, and Chairman of the Muftis Shura Council (Head of the Religious Administration of all Muslims in the Russian Federation), Sheikh Rawi Ein Eddin.
During his meeting with Stepashin, Martini stressed the necessity of enhancing tourism relations between Syria and Russia through exchanging in several fields as: cultural, religious economic and tourism.
He pointed out the importance of establishing tourism projects by cooperation between the two sides to serve the interests of the Russian and Syrian peoples. Martini also talked about the crisis in Syria and the fierce war waged on Syrians at all levels, especially the economic one.
For his part, the President of the Palestinian Orthodox Imperial Society stressed that the terrorist war was launched on Syria with support of regional powers by using terrorists organizations, pointing out that Syria fights for all human civilization.
During another meeting with Sheikh Ein Eddin, Martini pointed out that Syria possesses all types of cultural, spiritual, religious, therapeutic and recreational tourism, stressing the need to increase exchanges visits between the Syrian and Russian peoples due to the similar social relations in both countries.
For his part, Sheikh Ein Eddin stressed the depth of the Russian-Syrian relations and the necessity of restoring security and stability to all parts of Syria and reconstructing what was destroyed by terrorism.
In an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow, Martini said, “During our meetings, we talked about executive projects to attract Russian visitors. He also explained the possibilities of the tourism sector in Syria and put forward the idea of starting experimental projects to activate the tourism sector. ”, adding that the talks were encouraging and fruitful.
