More than 60 Iranian Companies Take Part in Damascus International Fair

TEHRAN, (ST)-Mohammad Riza Khanzada, Director of the Iranian Pavilion participating in 61st Damascus International Fair, due to be held between August 28th and September 6th, 2019, announced on Thursday that more than 60 Iranian companies are to take part in the fair.

The participating companies specialize in heavy industries, cars, spare parts, building materials, technical, engineering, food and chemical services as well as petrochemicals and household tools,  Khanzada said in a statement on Thursday.

He added that the Syrian government has provided facilitations for all the participating sides, particularly the Iranian companies, expressing hope that Syria will take part in the fairs held in Tehran.

According to Khanzada, the countries which have supported Syria during the crisis should now cooperate with it in the reconstruction era. He added that “holding such a regional and international event under the current circumstances, stresses Syria’s determination to achieve complete victory over the unfair economic blockade and to work tirelessly to reconstruct the country and enhance its development.

38 Arab and foreign countries have confirmed participation in the 61st edition of Damascus International Fair. The reserved spaces in the fair exceeded 100,000 thousand square meters.

The fair, which is to be launched under the title “From Syria to the World”, indicates Syria’s resolve to rebuild what terrorism had destroyed.
